LARRY ROBBINS

Hydrography

A career of 26 years in the hydrographic surveying service of the Royal New Zealand Navy culminated as posting as Hydrographer to the RNZN in mid 1998. Retired from this position to take up an opportunity at the NZ National Maritime Museum.

Qualified as IHO Cat A Hydrographic Surveyor and RNZN Charge Hydrographic Surveyor. Member Emeritus of the Australian Hydrographic Society.

Surveys in Fiordland, East Coast North Island NZ, West Coast North and South Islands, Foveaux Strait, West Coast Stewart Island and in various parts of the South Pacific were undertaken under my supervision whilst in command of HMNZ Ships TARAPUNGA and MONOWAI.
